David Carradine 1936-2009

Just a quick (sad) post today. Actor David Carradine died Wednesday in Bangkok, Thailand in a reported suicide. He was 72.

Best known for his role in the 1970s television series Kung Fu and more recently Bill from Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Part 1 & 2, Carradine has appeared in more than 100 feature films and a well-known American actor. He was nominated for 4 Golden Globes in his career for his roles in Kill Bill: Volume 2 (2004), North and South (1985), Bound for Glory (1976), and Kung Fu (1972). His film career includes Martin Scorsese’s Boxcar Bertha and Mean Streets, Ingmar Bergman’s The Serpent’s Egg, and John Badman’s Bird on a Wire. He also was appeared on a myriad of television shows like Alias, Charmed and Medium.

Carradine is survived by his fifth wife Annie Bierman.

    In honor of Carradine’s passing, i’m currently looking for decent deal on his Kung Fu seasons on DVD if i can find them…
